The Big Screen Hack weekend isn't only filmmakers. The Builder Hack ran in parallel — engineers and designers shipping products against the same 48-hour clock. Tools, not films: new pipelines, agents, UI surfaces, plug-ins, anything that makes the next hackathon faster. The Tech Track 1st + 2nd were called at the Cinéum Cannes matinée alongside the film awards.
Awards announced live at Cinéum Cannes on Mon 18 May 2026 alongside the film prizes. Each winner gets their own celebration slot here — and a permanent place on the Hall of Fame.
Every product shipped during the Builder Hack lives here, with its own shareable page. Like the films, each card opens a dedicated URL with the demo, the team, and the tool stack — so you can send a single link to anyone curious.
The Builder Hack project pages are being prepared — each one gets the same dedicated-URL treatment as the films at /project/<slug>.html. Builders, drop your project details (name, team, one-liner, demo URL, screenshot) into the form below and we'll publish your page.
The Builder Hack runs in parallel with the filmmaking hack across the same 48-hour weekend. Same venue, same hours, same kick-off and finish — different deliverable.
Where the film track ships a finished short, the Tech Track ships a working product: a pipeline, an agent, a UI surface, a plug-in — anything that makes the next hackathon faster, better, or more interesting. Judges look for working demos over slides, real users over private toys.
Builders are welcome at every screening, party and prize-giving — the Tech Track sits inside the same Cannes 2026 chapter, not next to it.
